Round Table “The Use of Artificial Intelligence in Education”
On October 10, 2025, the Faculty of Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted a round table on “The Use of Artificial Intelligence in Education.” The event was held in a hybrid format (online/offline), bringing together leading experts, scientists, and representatives of the IT industry to discuss modern approaches to integrating AI technologies into Kazakhstan’s educational system.
Purpose and Objectives
The main goal of the round table was to exchange experiences and develop recommendations for the effective implementation of artificial intelligence in educational processes, the transformation of university programs, and the training of professionals for the digital economy.
Program and Key Presentations
The moderators opened the event with welcoming remarks, emphasizing the strategic importance of developing AI in education as one of the key directions of Kazakhstan’s digital transformation.

• Sanzhar Aubakirov — Chief Innovation Officer, INNOFORCE PLC — “A Methodological Approach to Integrating AI into Educational Processes during the Digital Transformation of Universities.”
• Madina Yesimkhanovna Mansurova — Head of the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data — “Bridging the Skills Gap through AI: Aligning Labor Market Needs and Educational Programs.”
• Maksat Askar — Director of Daryn.online — “Adaptive Learning with Artificial Intelligence (AI Adaptive Learning).”
• Yermek Alimzhanov — Director of the Digital Institute of Continuing Education — “Personalized Learning Using Intelligent Systems.”
• Beimbet Serikovich Daribayev — Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Shakarim University — “Chatbots and Virtual Assistants in the Educational Process and University Management.”
Discussion Session
In the final session, participants discussed the following key topics:
• How to build an AI ecosystem in Kazakhstan’s education sector;
• What joint initiatives between the government, universities, and business are needed to accelerate digital transformation;
• How to enhance the effectiveness of educational programs to meet modern labor market demands.
Conclusion
As a result of the round table, participants proposed the development of joint research projects, the creation of digital educational platforms, and the implementation of intelligent adaptive learning systems in universities across the country.
The organizers expressed their gratitude to all participants for their active involvement and noted that such events contribute to the development of the national AI strategy and the formation of a new generation of specialists capable of effectively applying AI technologies in education.
