Training “Finance of the Future: Cryptocurrencies, Blockchain and Digital Money”
On October 16, 2025, the Faculty of the Higher School of Economics and Business held a training session for students and faculty on the topic “Finance of the Future: Cryptocurrencies, Blockchain and Digital Money.”
The event was conducted by Natalia Romenskaya, Founder & CEO, consultant to three banks in Kazakhstan as well as banks in Tajikistan, Armenia, and Mauritius. Natalia Romenskaya has over 15 years of experience in consulting (PwC) and in leading Russian banks — Citibank, Sberbank, and VTB — in the fields of strategy and innovation management.
During the training, the speaker shared current trends in digital finance, explained the key aspects of how cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology function, and discussed the prospects for introducing digital currencies into the global financial system.
The event sparked great interest among students and faculty, providing participants with valuable insights and the opportunity to discuss real cases from international banking practice.
At the conclusion, Natalia Romenskaya expressed her gratitude to Acting Dean of the Higher School of Economics and Business Zh. Zh. Yermekova and Head of the Department of Finance and Accounting R. B. Sartova for the invitation and organization of the meeting.
