We are confident in our future

In the era of rapid globalization and technological advancement, the education system must adapt to new demands. In accordance with the fourth goal of the UN Sustainable Development Goals — “Quality Education” — discussing changes and exploring new opportunities in the field of education has become one of the key priorities. In this regard, an open curator–advisor session was held with students of the “Natural and Technogenic Hazards” program at the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Management.

The open session organized for us served as a great motivation to reflect on our future education and professional development. The main topic of the session was “Education Systems in the Era of Change”. The invited guest, Acting Associate Professor Aina Akanqyzy, shared very valuable insights with us. Her presentation significantly increased our interest in academic mobility and international programs. She explained in detail the Erasmus+ program, student exchange opportunities, and admission procedures to foreign universities.

What impressed us most was the discussion of the importance of academic mobility for students. Such programs not only provide new knowledge but also teach us how to adapt to new environments, build intercultural connections, and become competitive specialists in the future. Studying within another country’s education system is not just about obtaining a diploma — it means gaining new experiences, improving language skills, and expanding professional networks.

Aina Akanqyzy elaborated on how the Erasmus+ program operates. We especially appreciated learning about the grant funding opportunities, meaning that students can receive financial support for tuition and living expenses. This became a strong motivation for us.

Most importantly, after this meeting, we began to think more clearly about our future. It was not just an informational session about university programs — it was a unique opportunity that allowed us to view our future from a new perspective. Academic mobility is an investment every student can make in their own future. Our next goal is to participate in these programs and find our place within the international educational space. This meeting reminded us that quality education knows no borders and that everyone has the power to shape their own future.
