“If you are looking for noble words, read Abay"
On October 31, 2025, within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals 4: «Quality Education», a round table discussion on the topic: “If you are looking for noble words, read Abay”dedicated to the 180th anniversary of Abay Kunanbayev was held. The round table was attended by faculty members K.A. Aisultanova, G.K. Atabaeva, L.M. Aliyarova, E.N. Mikhalchenko, U.T. Tursynbekova, A.S. Orazbayeva, and students from our university, as well as foreign students from Turkey, China, Turkmenistan, Mongolia, and Tajikistan. A special feature of the event was that students read and discussed Abay Kunanbayev's poems with the help of artificial intelligence. The event was attended by foreign students, including from Turkey: Ateş Mujahit, Amantur Asyl, Mukhamedova Munisa, Ibadzod Habib; from China: Li Junliang, Huang Boyan, Jaksybek Alkar; from Mongolia: Uat Khan Muzafar, Yerbolat Sayazhan, Azimbay Zeynep; from Tajikistan: Umronov Abdurakhmon, Umronov Mukhammadjon. They enhanced the significance of the event by reading Abay's poems and songs in their native languages. The purpose of this event was to promote the poems and songs of the wise poet of our people, scholar, thinker, and composer Abai Kunanbayuly, to increase the interest of current generations in Abai's legacy, and to encourage them to read, study, and become familiar with it.

To convey the precious legacy left by our father Abai to the minds of every student, to develop students' thinking and speaking skills. To foster patriotism and humanism through the works of Abai. During the event, students discussed spiritual and moral values while reading Abay's works and suggested ways to apply them in modern society. Interesting exchanges of views and conversations took place between Kazakhstani and foreign students, and participants conducted a comparative analysis with the literary and philosophical traditions of their countries. In particular, the topics of Abay's morality, the pursuit of knowledge, hard work, and justice were touched upon. As the culmination of the event, the students of the Faculty of Law, in addition to their substantive presentations, demonstrated their national art by performing a kuy on the dombra and singing. Such events not only serve as a platform for the exchange of knowledge, but also increase the responsibility of young people to society, allow them to live in cooperation and harmony with foreign students, and gain experience in communicating with citizens with civic principles. Such cooperation has a great influence on the development of students' professional and spiritual values and broadens their horizons. The event ended with the words of Abai: “Let's not forget Abai, let's read Abai, let's follow Abai's example!”
