Review Lecture: “Primary Immunodeficiencies: Potential Therapeutic Research Directions”

On October 30, 2025, Associate Professor A.I. Zhussupova from the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics delivered a review lecture titled “Primary Immunodeficiencies: Potential Therapeutic Research Directions” for the 2nd-year master’s students of the 7M05105 – Genetics educational program as part of the UN SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being initiative.

The lecture addressed the molecular and genetic basis of primary immunodeficiencies, their clinical manifestations, and modern diagnostic techniques. Professor Zhussupova also discussed current advancements in gene and cell therapy, as well as innovative approaches to restoring immune system function.

The main goal of the event was to raise awareness of therapeutic strategies for primary immunodeficiencies, expand students’ understanding of rare hereditary disorders, and encourage scientific interest in the field of molecular genetics and biomedical research.
