SDG-4: Employee Training on Prevention of Professional Burnout
                In today’s fast-paced world, many people face constant stress, heavy workloads, and a strong sense of responsibility. Over time, this can lead to professional burnout — a decline in motivation, loss of interest in work, fatigue, and apathy. To maintain psychological well-being and inner resources, it is important to recognize the signs of burnout in time and use effective self-help strategies.
The Psychological Support Service of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University conducted a training session for university staff on the topic “Prevention of Professional Burnout.”
The aim of the training was to raise participants’ awareness of their own emotional state, teach them stress management skills, and help them maintain inner balance.
During the session, participants:
    •    learned about the stages and signs of professional burnout;
    •    took a test to assess their level of emotional exhaustion;
    •    identified personal sources of stress and ways to overcome them;
    •    created an individual “resource map” — things that help maintain energy and inspiration;
    •    practiced breathing and relaxation techniques to restore emotional balance.
The training was held in a warm and trusting atmosphere. Participants shared personal experiences, discussed the importance of maintaining a balance between work and rest, and learned how to restore their inner strength and take care of themselves.
At the end, each participant developed their own anti-stress plan — a set of concrete steps aimed at preventing burnout and strengthening psychological well-being.
Such events help employees maintain motivation, increase job satisfaction, and strengthen team spirit within the workplace.
