The Faculty of Physics and Technology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University participated in the career guidance seminar. SDG 4 and SDG 9

On October 29, 2025, as part of the implementation of the career guidance program for the 2025–2026 academic year, a career orientation seminar for school students of Almaty was held at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

The Faculty of Physics and Technology actively participated in the event: all departments of the faculty presented information on their educational programs, training areas, scientific research, and innovative developments. Modern technologies and instruments used in the educational process and scientific projects were also demonstrated.

A significant contribution to the organization and conduct of the event was made by the faculty’s career guidance specialist, Aizhan Amangaliyevna Kuikabayeva, who introduced the students to current directions in engineering and physical education, career opportunities for graduates, and options for academic mobility.

The event was held in accordance with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly:

• SDG 4 – Quality Education, aimed at ensuring inclusive and equitable education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all;

• SDG 9 – Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, reflecting the faculty’s commitment to training specialists capable of developing innovative technological solutions for sustainable development.

Thus, the faculty’s career guidance work not only contributes to attracting talented applicants but also fosters among young people an understanding of the importance of science and technology in achieving the global Sustainable Development Goals.
