The Faculty of Physics and Technology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Held an Event within the Framework of Al-Farabi Week (SDG 4 and SDG 9)

In 2025, humanity celebrates the 1155th anniversary of the birth of the great thinker, philosopher, and scientist — Abu Nasr Al-Farabi, known as the Second Teacher of mankind. This anniversary symbolizes the revival of the spiritual heritage and scientific-philosophical wisdom of the great scholar in the era of digital transformation and artificial intelligence.

In connection with this remarkable date, the Faculty of Physics and Technology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University organized a creative event as part of the “Al-Farabi Week.” The event was aimed at promoting Al-Farabi’s ideas, fostering humanistic thinking, and enhancing the scientific and creative potential of students.

During the event, participants presented their works in various formats — scientific essays, infographics, posters, and videos — reflecting Al-Farabi’s philosophical ideas through the lens of modern science, technology, and education.

According to the results of the faculty competition, the following students were recognized as winners in three categories:

• Best Creative Work (Essay) — Aliyev Anar Zakirovich, 2nd-year student of the “Materials Science and Technology of New Materials” program;

• Best Infographic / Poster — Zhanatuly Zhankeldi, 2nd-year student of the “Materials Science and Technology of New Materials” program;

• Best Video — Ultayev Aidos Ersynovich, 2nd-year student of the “Materials Science and Technology of New Materials” program.

The winners were awarded certificates of honor for their creativity, originality, and contribution to promoting the intellectual legacy of Al-Farabi.

The Faculty of Physics and Technology expresses sincere gratitude to all participants for their active involvement and their commitment to integrating scientific traditions with innovative approaches in the spirit of Al-Farabi’s heritage.

Such events contribute to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 4 and SDG 9), aimed at advancing quality education, supporting innovation, and strengthening the interconnection between science, culture, and technology.
