The lecturer of the Department of Russian Philology and World Literature, A.B. Kassymbekova, held a literary event together with students majoring in Nuclear Physics. The purpose of the meeting was to foster interest in literature, broaden students’ literary horizons, and cultivate a culture of speech communication.

During the event, students prepared and recited poems by Russian and foreign poets. After the readings, participants discussed the meaning and emotional tone of the poems, sharing their impressions and reflections.

Special attention was paid to the expressiveness of reading and the ability to convey the author’s mood. The atmosphere of the meeting was filled with warmth, creativity, and mutual respect for literature.

Poetry helps develop spirituality, nurtures kindness, sensitivity, and love for one’s native language and culture.

The event contributed to the development of students’ aesthetic taste, communication skills, and unity around universal human values embodied in the art of words.

This event also aligns with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) No. 4 – “Quality Education”, which aims to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.
Through studying and discussing poetry, students develop critical thinking, emotional intelligence, and respect for cultural diversity — key components of sustainable education and human development.
