As part of the pedagogical practice, a master's student of the Department of Mathematical and Computer Modeling held an open educational event on SDG No. 8 – “Decent Work and Economic Growth.”

As part of her pedagogical practice, Gulsezim Zhussipova, a 1st-year master’s student of the educational program “7M05409 – Applied and Computational Mathematics”, held an open educational session for 2nd-year students of the “6B05405 – Applied Mathematics” program. The event was organized under the guidance of advisor-curator Magira Kulbai and was dedicated to Sustainable Development Goal SDG 8: “Decent Work and Economic Growth.”

During the session, participants discussed the importance of decent work and economic growth in society. The discussion covered current issues in the labor market, youth employment, fair working conditions, and ways to strengthen economic stability.

In her presentation, Gulsezim Zhussipova emphasized that decent work not only improves an individual’s quality of life but also promotes social justice and sustainable economic development. She also shared examples of Kazakhstan’s economic development strategies, youth entrepreneurship support, and the role of innovation in growth.

The event was held in an open discussion format, encouraging students to actively participate and express their views. Students shared their opinions and experiences, highlighting the importance of building a strong work culture, developing professional skills, and contributing to the nation’s economic progress.

 

In conclusion, the event held was of great importance within the framework of one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals – SDG 8 “Decent Work and Economic Growth.” During the open session, it helped enhance young people’s motivation for work, responsibility, and professional development. Such educational and value-driven activities inspire students to step confidently into the future and contribute to the country’s economic growth.
At the end of the event, Acting Head of the Department of Mathematical and Computer Modeling, Saule Dzhumakanovna Mausumbekova, shared her thoughts, emphasizing the significance of the meeting. She highlighted that, within the framework of SDG 8 “Decent Work and Economic Growth,” such discussions play an important role in fostering diligence, perseverance, and professional ambition among youth, encouraging students to contribute to the prosperity of the nation.
