From November 3 to 7, 2025, the Department of Archaeology, Ethnology, and Museology at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University organized and conducted a professional development course for museum staff titled “Scientific Attribution of Historical and Cultural Heritage and Intangible Cultural Assets, Methods of Organizing Research Work in Museums.”


The course program addressed pressing issues in contemporary museum practice and aimed to provide participants with comprehensive knowledge of modern attribution techniques, standards for researching and documenting museum collections, and methods for systematizing tangible and intangible cultural heritage objects.
During the training, leading faculty members and expert specialists delivered lectures and conducted practical sessions. Participants gained experience in planning exhibition work, scientifically describing collections, organizing museum research projects, and working with field materials.
At the end of the course, participants received special certificates. The event contributed to enhancing the professional skills of museum specialists and strengthening scientific and practical collaboration.
