Educational program
The goal is to train qualified specialists in the field of electric power industry who have the knowledge and competencies in demand at work in enterprises and organizations of the energy industry related to the production, transmission and consumption of electrical energy, as well as in design and research organizations of a technical profile.
1.Develop, design electrical power and electrical equipment for power plants, electrical grids, and industrial enterprises, utilizing modern graphic software, artificial intelligence, and possessing skills in working with electronic and computer systems and networks.
2.Perform technological tests of electrophysical and vacuum installations. Apply vacuum and plasma technology to obtain samples of new materials for renewable and alternative energy.
3.Develop, design electronic circuits and devices for measuring, monitoring and converting electrical energy, electrical machine design elements, electromechanical and electromagnetic devices for electric transport and power engineering.
4.Accept results and substantiate specific technical decisions in creating electrical safety systems that govern current laws and other regulatory and legal acts in the field of occupational health and safety.
5.Conduct high-voltage tests of the operating modes of power equipment, the rules for their operation, repair and modernization of the power equipment of power plants and networks, as well as assessing the reliability of power supply and power quality.
6.Conduct technological development of new types of solar, wind power plants of low and medium power, converters of heat and electricity, power supply and heat supply for residential and industrial premises, hydrogen, plasma, thermonuclear, etc. for renewable energy.
7.Calculate the parameters of electrical circuits, analyze electromagnetic and transient processes in electric power systems using the results of the latest scientific achievements in the field of energy and the laws of higher mathematics to solve computational problems and simulate processes in energy systems.
8.Diagnose and control the operation of relay protection devices and electrical automatics, instrumentation, microprocessor devices in electrical systems and networks, as well as design relay protection and automation of power plants and substations, having the skills to work with digital technology and microprocessor systems.
9.Carry out metrological verification of the main measuring instruments of parameters and carry out maintenance to control the quality of the functioning of electrical apparatus and materials, electromechanics, electrical insulating and cable technology, lighting engineering and light sources and electrical objects in general to improve the technical and economic indicators of the enterprise.
10.Communicate effectively in oral and written form, including in a foreign language, in a professional environment and society, form and argue for defending one's own point of view, worldview and civic position in interpersonal interaction and intercultural environment.
11.Build and define basic marketing and management methods for managing projects in the electric power industry and electricity supply to enterprises of various industries using the rules and norms of design, construction, installation and operation of electric power plants and systems.
12.Develop circuit diagrams of power supplies and control of electrophysical devices, electric arc and electrochemical installations, design structures and conceptual diagrams of electrical equipment of high-tech installations.
