Cluster of Engineering and High Technologies

The Cluster has specialised research facilities for applied and basic research in natural and technical sciences (physics, mathematics, geography, cartography, space technology, etc.).

The main areas of activity are:

• conducting applied and innovative research in the field of natural and technical sciences;
• Creation, development and implementation of new equipment and materials, knowledge-intensive technologies;
• Participation in designing and development of scientific and technical programs and projects, plans of research and development work;
• Assistance in training of highly qualified specialists, innovation management, marketing of knowledge-intensive products, organization of their production
• Organization of entrepreneurial activity in scientific-technical sphere with participation of the teaching staff, scientists and specialists, employees of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and other scientific institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

• Facilitating international contracts to promote knowledge-intensive products to foreign markets and attracting foreign investment and technology transfer;

Technical services (provision of access to telecommunications, scientific and laboratory equipment, computer equipment, provision of a meeting room, etc.).
