The cluster includes the following divisions:
- Remote Sensing Center
- Laboratory for the development of small spacecraft
- Design Bureau
Mission: creation of favorable conditions for university scientists, assistance in creating prototypes of innovative developments, implementation of scientific and innovative, fundamental and applied research.
Activity: the center is directly integrated with the activities of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University for the training of competitive highly qualified personnel.
The cluster has specialized research equipment for conducting applied and fundamental research in the field of natural and technical sciences (physics, mathematics, geography, cartography, space technologies, etc.).
The main areas of activity:
- conducting applied and innovative research in the field of natural and technical sciences;
- creation, development and implementation of new equipment and materials, high-tech technologies;
- participation in the design and development of scientific and technical programs and projects, plans for research and development work;
- assistance in the training of highly qualified specialists in innovation management, marketing of high-tech products, organization of its production;
- organization of entrepreneurial activity in the scientific and technical sphere with the participation of faculty, scientists and specialists, employees of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and other scientific institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
- facilitating the conclusion of international contracts facilitating the entry of high-tech products into the foreign market and attracting foreign investment and technology transfer;
- technical services (providing access to telecommunications, scientific and laboratory equipment, computer equipment, provision of a meeting room, etc.).
