Abay Research Institute

The purpose of the Institute is to coordinate scientific, scientific and organizational work on the preservation, production and dissemination of knowledge through research, training, propaganda.

- theory of literature and folklore studies;
- literary creativity and artistic translation;

- interdisciplinary research in the humanities and social sciences.
Main tasks:
- priority development of fundamental research as a basis for the creation of new knowledge, the development of new technologies, the formation and development of scientific schools in the most important areas of science development;
- participation in funded scientific research in the field of humanities and social sciences;
- participation in interstate and international scientific programs in the relevant areas;
- coordination and implementation of initiative scientific research;
- training of scientific and pedagogical personnel and specialists in postgraduate education programs based on the latest achievements of science and education;
- Development of theoretical and methodological foundations for the study of Abai's creative heritage at the intersection of literary studies, linguistics, cultural studies, history, pedagogy, jurisprudence, philosophy, sociology, political science;
- to evaluate the current problems of the theory and history of Kazakh literature from ancient times to the present day from the point of view of aesthetic, ethical, philosophical views of Abai;
- Comprehension of the problems of perception of Abai's creativity in the countries of the far and near abroad;
- differentiation of the theory and history of the modern Kazakh literary language;
- study of the problems of theory and practice of literary translation and translation studies, literary comparative studies;
- to consider the actual problems of the theory and history of Kazakh literature, the process of literary creativity in the context of world literature;
