Open RFL Lesson within the Framework of the Sustainable Development Goals

On November 18, an open lesson was conducted in group № 13 as part of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) program, serving as a prime example of achieving SDG 4: "Quality Education". The class showcased a comprehensive approach to teaching Russian as a foreign language (RFL), effectively combining the development of grammatical skills with the activation of conversation practice. The main goal of the lesson was to develop students' ability to communicate effectively in Russian, with a special focus on using the language in real-life situations.

The lesson began by creating a favorable atmosphere and engaging students in a short dialogue, which prepared them for active work and developed the skill of simple conversation. The main grammatical content was dedicated to introducing the interrogative pronouns "чей?" (whose - masculine), "чья?" (whose - feminine), and "чьё?" (whose - neuter), which are essential for expressing possession. The instruction was phased: after reviewing previously studied material, new structures were introduced using visual examples, flashcards, and multimedia presentations, allowing for a clear demonstration of the difference in pronoun usage depending on the gender and number of the noun. Special attention was paid to practicing speaking and listening comprehension, and the inclusion of a game element increased student interest and motivation. The lesson concluded with work on an academic text, which contributed to the simultaneous development of grammar, enrichment of vocabulary, and improvement of comprehension skills. Thus, the lesson became an example of the effective combination of various methods and techniques, ensuring high results and demonstrating commitment to the principles of quality and inclusive education.
