Within the framework of Sustainable Development Goal, as part of promoting high-quality education in the “Geodesy and Cartography” program, we held an introductory event for first-year students. The purpose of the event was not only to familiarize students with the features and importance of their future profession, but also to spark their interest in geodesy as a modern field that combines precise measurements, digital technologies, and spatial thinking.

Particular emphasis was placed on the practice-oriented approach to education and the role of innovation in training future specialists. Students took part in an engaging quiz in a game-based format, where they demonstrated their knowledge and teamwork skills. The event also featured an interactive presentation prepared by second-year students, which promoted experience sharing between junior and senior students.

Such a combination of theoretical and game-based formats helps create a motivating educational environment, increases students’ interest in the learning process, and contributes to the development of professional competencies that meet the modern requirements of the geodetic field.
