On November 17, 2025, third-year students of the “Cadastre” program at the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Management of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University participated in an educational field trip to the Zoological Museum. The excursion was organized by Professor G.T. Aigarinova from the Department of Customs, Financial and Environmental Law. The visit was conducted within the framework of the UN Sustainable Development Goal No. 15, “Life on Land.”
During the excursion, students became acquainted with the geographical features of the Republic of Kazakhstan, its natural zones, and the rich biodiversity of the region. Through the museum’s unique collections, they explored the historical development of Kazakhstan’s fauna, the distribution patterns of various animal species, and the ecological significance of rare and endangered species inhabiting the country.
The museum’s experts provided detailed information on the challenges related to habitat alteration, anthropogenic pressures on wildlife, issues of ecosystem preservation, and methods for restoring ecological balance. Particular attention was paid to the role of scientific research, modern technologies, and ecological monitoring in the conservation and sustainable use of biological resources.
This field trip expanded students’ professional perspectives and deepened their understanding of the interconnection between cadastre studies, environmental law, and sustainable natural resource management. The activity played an important role in strengthening ecological awareness and integrating biological and legal knowledge for future specialists.
