Event under SDG 4: "Literacy is the foundation of personal and public growth"

On November 28, 2025, the Department of Biophysics, Biomedicine, and Neuroscience of the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University held a training seminar (TMD 4) on the topical topic of "Literacy is the foundation of personal and public growth". The goal of the seminar was to develop in students an understanding of the importance of literacy as a key factor in personal development, social activity and sustainable development of society, and to discuss ways to improve literacy among young people and adults.

This event provides a real opportunity to improve students' functional literacy, strengthen their ability to make independent, informed decisions in professional and social spheres, develop their intellectual potential, and develop skills for effective communication and informed social action. The discussion concluded that understanding the importance of literacy for personal development and a stable society is key to the nation's future.
