SDG 4. "Fundamentals of student budget management"
In order to improve financial literacy among the students of the Department of Pre-University Education of the Faculty of Pre-University Education, a round table "Fundamentals of student budget management" was held.
The main purpose of this event was to increase students' financial literacy, develop personal budget management skills, and create a culture of informed, responsible decision-making through income and expense planning. In addition, the participants had the opportunity to hone their economic thinking and understand the importance of sustainable development.
Through this open dialogue, it was intended to help young professionals develop the skills of effective personal finance management, income and expense planning, and responsible decision-making.
During the event, the audience actively discussed the extraordinary financial issues of student life, sources of income and ways to rationally reduce costs. The participants shared simple, universal approaches, from planning scholarships to tracking cost overruns, creating savings, and making targeted investments.
In addition, the experience of mastering modern technologies – the use of budget applications, online planners and financial calculators - was widely discussed. Based on their experience, the students noted the direct impact of financial literacy on the quality of life.
The format of the open discussions increased the engagement of all participants and made the event more productive. As a result, it was stated that for future specialists, rational financial management is an indispensable condition for personal economic stability and successful development.
