International Scientific Cooperation: Research Internship of a Doctoral Student of the Department of Botany and Agroecology at the University of Alicante

Doctoral student of the specialty “8D05108” Alina Urazalina successfully completed a research internship at the Department of Environmental Sciences and Natural Resources of the University of Alicante (Spain). The internship took place from October 10 to November 10, 2025, and was dedicated to the study of species of the genus Tamarix L. within the framework of her dissertation research.

During the internship, she mastered modern molecular-genetic research methods, carried out DNA extraction, performed PCR amplification using nuclear and plastid markers, and conducted bioinformatic analysis of the obtained sequences.

The results of the internship will serve as a foundation for future scientific publications and will make a significant contribution to the study of the biodiversity of the central part of Northern Turan. The internship strengthened the doctoral student’s professional competencies and expanded opportunities for international scientific collaboration.
