At the Department of Botany and Agroecology, curator-advisor and associate researcher Akmaral Nurmahanova held a round table on SDG 3 titled “Complications of Tumor Processes in the Body” with the participation of students from group BB 23-03 of the educational program “6V05102 – Biology.” During the event, the development of tumor diseases in the body, as well as the causes and mechanisms of their complications, were discussed. The students thoroughly analyzed the differences between cancer cells and normal cells, their ability to grow uncontrollably, and their capacity to form metastases. In addition, the role of tumors in disrupting the functions of various body systems, the response of the immune system, and the importance of early diagnosis and prevention were highlighted. Participants of the round table discussed ways to prevent oncological diseases, the significance of a healthy lifestyle, and the achievements of modern medical research.
This event helped expand the students’ knowledge of oncological processes and allowed them to gain a deeper understanding of pathological changes in the complex systems of the human body.
