SDG 4. “Aбай’s Legacy – Lessons of Wisdom”

At the university, a spiritually and educationally significant event on the topic “Aбай’s Legacy – Lessons of Wisdom” was held among students within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals GOALs-4. During the event, students became acquainted with several books about the life and work of the great poet, studied Aбай’s profound teachings, and read excerpts from his “Words of Edification.” The main goal of the event was to encourage students to express their thoughts openly, develop quick thinking and resourcefulness, gain confidence in public speaking, and increase interest in Aбай’s legacy. Aбай was a poet, educator, founder of written Kazakh literature and literary language, philosopher, composer, translator, and political figure. His instructive “Words” deeply address the social, spiritual, and cultural issues of the Kazakh people. Such spiritual and educational events broaden the horizons of young people and promote a deeper understanding of national values.
