SDG 5. FORMATION OF A CULTURAL PERSONALITY THROUGH NATIONAL UPBRINGING
On December 11, 2025, in honor of the celebration of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a round table on the topic "formation of a cultural personality through national upbringing" was held with the 4th-year students of the Philological Faculty of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
The purpose of the round table is to foster a fully committed, nationalistic personality with a well-formed national consciousness, capable of contributing to the development of national interests, combining national values and civil values.
Currently, one of the urgent problems is to ensure the content of education focused on the development of a capable personality with mature spiritual values, able to find his place in any situation, ready to intervene in a multicultural, multinational space in a changing society, viewed from the point of view of the transition to market relations, culture of interethnic relations, tolerance, requirements for building civil society. societies.
The main purpose of educational work at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University is the formation of a highly educated, spiritually mature, intellectual personality based on national upbringing, focused on national culture, contributing to the development of education and science, along with professional training.
In this regard, events are being held to implement the Concept of Educational Work in higher education institutions, to form an active civic position among students and patriotic education, to organize the work of student organizations, to strengthen interethnic harmony among young people, to promote a healthy lifestyle and physical culture among students, to participate in cultural events, and to conduct educational events.
One of the topical issues on the agenda is the issue of youth education through national education. Educational work is aimed at fostering a sense of Kazakhstani patriotism and national pride among students, promoting national spiritual values, culture and history, literature and language, the life and work of scientists of the nation, developing students' creative abilities, forming a healthy lifestyle, promoting the role and responsibility of teaching staff in educational work, social and psychological student support, in a word, solving the tasks of educating a citizen with high moral qualities, responsible for the future of the nation.
