In accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals, improving the well-being of society and promoting a healthy lifestyle are one of the main tasks of today. In this regard, under the leadership of Nazhipkyzy Meruyert and with the participation of Dinistanova Balaussa Kanatbaykyzy, 1st year Master students of the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology Aikenova Ainur and Ashiraly Akzhanat organized an open lesson on the topic “Health is great wealth”, closely linking it with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The Sustainable Development Goals are a global initiative aimed at eradicating poverty, combating inequality, protecting land resources, and ensuring peace and prosperity in society. Among these goals, SDG No. 3 – “Ensuring healthy lives and improving the well-being of people of all ages” – occupies a prominent place.

Based on this direction, students were provided with extensive information during the open lesson about the importance of a healthy lifestyle, the principles of proper nutrition, the role of physical activity, and the impact of psychological balance on human health. During the lesson, a visual presentation was shown, several games were played, and small prizes were awarded to active students, as well as up-to-date statistical data and explanatory materials.

In the practical part of the lesson, a cognitive competition consisting of several stages was organized among students. Participants were divided into 3 groups and answered the following questions:

– What are the basic rules of proper nutrition?

– What are the main obstacles to achieving a healthy life?

– How do spiritual harmony and peace of mind affect human health?

– How do sports and an active lifestyle improve the quality of life?

The format of the competition included discussions, test questions and practical tasks. Following the results of the competition, all groups were awarded incentive prizes.

The event explained to students that a healthy lifestyle is important not only for the individual, but also for the sustainable development of the country. It was noted that a culture of health care directly affects the overall development of society, the quality of education, economic growth and social stability. In addition, this open lesson contributed to the formation of civic responsibility among young people in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
