On December 19, 2025, at the initiative of the Department of Pre-University Training, an educational and awareness-raising event entitled “Quality Education as the Foundation of Conscious Upbringing” was held at the A. Baitursynuly Museum. The event brought together students and faculty members of the Department of Pre-University Training, as well as a representative of the A. Baitursynuly Museum, Zhamila Aidos Parsakhankyzy. The primary objective of the event was to cultivate among young people an understanding of the significance of quality education and conscious upbringing, to enhance responsibility for the education of the younger generation, and to support the holistic development of individuals through the promotion of national spiritual and cultural values. This initiative is closely aligned with several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).Foremost, the event corresponds to SDG 4: Quality Education, which aims to ensure inclusive, equitable, and high-quality education for all. Quality education serves as a fundamental driver of social progress, while conscious upbringing enhances the effectiveness of learning outcomes and contributes to the formation of socially responsible individuals. The harmonious integration of education and upbringing fosters the development of active, conscientious, and patriotically oriented citizens.
Furthermore, the event contributed to the implementation of SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions. Conscious upbringing plays a vital role in instilling stable moral values, promoting civic responsibility, and strengthening social cohesion and mutual respect. Familiarization with the lives and contributions of prominent historical figures and national leaders presented in the museum exhibition significantly contributed to the development of participants’ civic awareness. The event was of particular importance for international participants. In this regard, it aligns with SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities. Engagement in cultural and educational activities enables international students to gain deeper insight into the history, culture, and spiritual heritage of Kazakhstan, facilitating their social integration and fostering intercultural dialogue. Thus, conscious upbringing serves as a key mechanism for shaping moral character and supporting individuals’ integration into public life. The organization of such initiatives contributes to strengthening young people’s respect for their homeland, national traditions, and universal human values.
In conclusion, the event “Quality Education as the Foundation of Conscious Upbringing” represents a meaningful step toward integrating educational and upbringing processes with the Sustainable Development Goals and is aimed at fostering an educated, conscientious, and socially responsible generation. Such initiatives lay a solid foundation for sustainable societal development and long-term national prosperity.
