“From Heart to Heart: Letters from Parents”
The first-year students of the “Literary Studies” program, under the guidance of curator-advisor L. Mekebaeva, held a demo advisory session on the topic: “From Heart to Heart: Letters from Parents” within the framework of SDG 17. The main purpose of the event was to increase the students’ academic motivation, to strengthen the spiritual bond between parents and their children, and to provide support during the preparation period for the end-of-semester examinations.
During the session, the students received heartfelt letters from their parents, specially prepared in anticipation of the upcoming final assessments and the completion of their first semester. The letters expressed parents’ hopes, encouragement, support, and faith in their children. This moment was particularly emotional for many students: several were visibly touched as they read their letters, while the curator emphasized the significance of each parental message, offering moral support to the learners. They also shared their reflections, highlighting the importance of responsibility, discipline, and hard work in meeting their parents’ expectations. In addition, the curator provided helpful guidance on preparing for the upcoming examination period and encouraged students to engage in consistent and focused study.
