Artificial Intelligence: Pros and Cons
Within the framework of SDG 4 – Quality Education, the first-year Logistics students of the Kazakh National University, together with senior lecturer of the Department of Russian Philology and World Literature, PhD in Philology Kakisheva Nurzada Tursumbekovna, held an event on the topic: “Artificial Intelligence: Pros and Cons.” During the discussion, students explored the impact of modern technologies on society and the future of various professions. Participants presented their arguments, viewing AI as a powerful tool capable of simplifying work processes, increasing the accuracy of data analysis, and opening new opportunities in education and science.
However, particular attention was also given to potential risks. Students discussed issues of ethics, personal data protection, job replacement, and responsibility for decisions made by algorithms. An important conclusion was the understanding that the development of artificial intelligence requires a balanced approach, transparent regulations, and active involvement of specialists from different fields.
The event contributed to the development of critical thinking, broadened students’ perspectives, and helped them realize that the future of technology largely depends on the conscious actions of today’s generation.
