External Educational Programs within SDG 4 – Quality Education

Within the framework of Sustainable Development Goal 4 – Quality Education, the Department of Information Systems successfully implemented a series of external educational programs. These educational activities were aimed at enhancing professional competencies, mastering modern digital technologies, and developing practical skills among participants.

From December 18 to December 26, 2025, Senior Lecturer Sh. Maksutova conducted an educational activity entitled “IT Infrastructure Management and Security.” During the program, participants gained theoretical and practical knowledge of modern IT infrastructure architecture, server and network management, and information security methods. Particular attention was paid to network security, access control, data protection, and cybersecurity risk prevention.

In addition, on December 1, 2025, A.K. Sambetbayeva, a 3rd-year PhD student in Information Systems, conducted an educational activity for students of Gymnasium No. 159 entitled “Applying Deep Learning for Road Damage Detection: Fundamentals and Applied Methods.” The session introduced computer vision and deep learning techniques for automated road infrastructure defect detection. Participants learned about data collection and preprocessing, neural network architectures, and model evaluation methods.

The conducted educational activities contributed to strengthening participants’ professional, research, and engineering competencies and enhanced cooperation between the university and external partners.
