SDG 4: Psychological Event on Preventing Emotional Burnout for First-Year Students
A psychological event aimed at preventing emotional burnout during the pre-examination period was held at the university for first-year students. The event was organized by specialists of the university’s psychological service as part of ongoing efforts to support students and facilitate their adaptation to the academic environment.
During the meeting, key aspects of first-year students’ adjustment to university life were discussed, along with major sources of stress, emotional tension, and anxiety related to increased academic workload, changes in learning formats, and growing responsibility for academic performance. Risk factors contributing to emotional burnout and decreased academic motivation were also examined.
Special attention was given to the development of self-regulation and stress management skills, strengthening emotional resilience, recognizing one’s own psycho-emotional state, and seeking timely psychological support when needed. Students were provided with practical recommendations and exercises aimed at maintaining psychological resources, improving concentration, and sustaining academic productivity during periods of heightened academic pressure.
The event was conducted in an interactive format, encouraging active participation, open discussion of relevant issues, and the creation of a supportive and positive atmosphere.
