Scientific seminars for PhD students were held at the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences
Within the framework of the implementation SDG 4 “Quality Education”, scientific seminars were held at the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences, focusing on the timely defense of doctoral dissertations and the analysis of reasons for PhD students’ failure to proceed to defense.
The seminars took place on January 9 (for PhD graduates of 2023) and January 15 (for PhD graduates of 2024) and were attended by PhD students and their academic supervisors.
During the seminars, the current stages of dissertation research were reviewed, key scientific, methodological, and organizational issues affecting the timeline for dissertation preparation and defense were analyzed, and individual pathways for completing doctoral research were discussed.

Special attention was given to improving the quality of doctoral research, enhancing publication activity, and ensuring compliance with dissertation preparation schedules.
The organization of these seminars is part of the faculty’s systematic efforts aimed at developing academic potential, increasing the effectiveness of research training, and ensuring the sustainable quality of higher education.
