Al-Farabi KazNU’s Actuarial Mathematics Program Ranks Second in the Atameken National Ranking
The Actuarial Mathematics (6B05401) educational program of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University ranked second in the 2026 National Educational Programs Ranking conducted by the Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Within the ranking, the university’s programs under the B055 – Mathematics and Statistics field were recognized among the leading educational programs in the country. This achievement highlights the high quality of education and the strong competitiveness of the university’s graduates in the labor market.
The evaluation was based on several key criteria, including qualitative indicators of the educational program (24%), students’ academic performance (16%), overall program effectiveness (11%), and graduates’ career prospects (49%). The university achieved a final score of 3.56.
A particularly notable indicator is the graduate employment rate. According to the ranking data, 78% of graduates of the Actuarial Mathematics program are employed in their field of study, with an average job search duration of 1.14 months. These figures clearly demonstrate the strong demand for the university’s graduates in the labor market.
Such results are the outcome of a well-structured academic policy, modern educational programs, and strong scientific schools in mathematics and statistics. The university provides students not only with solid theoretical knowledge but also with practical skills in data analysis, mathematical modeling, statistical methods, and modern computational technologies.
The Atameken ranking is compiled annually in cooperation with the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan and evaluates university programs based on 17 key criteria. The second-place ranking confirms the strong and stable position of the Actuarial Mathematics program within the national higher education.
