A new direction of development has been identified
SCIENTIFIC POTENTIAL AND INTEGRATION INTO THE GLOBAL SPACE
For the Faculty of pre-university education, the year of the snake will be remembered for its outstanding achievements in the field of research. In line with the University's strategy of becoming a world-class research university, faculty and scientists have achieved high performance. In particular, since the beginning of the year, a total of 19 scientific articles have been published in the International Scopus database. As for the qualitative level of this indicator, seven articles were published in journals of the highest category Q1 (first Quartile), recognized in the world scientific community. This reflects the international competitiveness of the research work of scientists of the faculty.
A significant event for the domestic scientific community was the publication of a new scientific journal GLOBAL SYNERGY for the first time within the framework of the faculty. This publication has become a platform for the exchange of views between young researchers and experienced scientists. In order to combine science with the applied sphere, eight startup projects have been successfully implemented and implemented in production or educational process this year. In order to replenish the scientific portfolio, the staff of the faculty developed seven more grant projects and sent them to competitive selection.
YOUTH POLICY AND SOCIAL SUPPORT
The main focus of the management of the faculty and the administration of the university is on creating conditions for young professionals. As a clear proof of fruitful work in this direction, we can proudly note the success of the young scientist of our faculty Nurgul Amangeldy. He not only won the scientific project "Жас ғалым", but also received a housing (apartment) with the support of the Ministry of Science and higher education of the Republic of Kazakhstan for his hard work. Such support gave a great impetus to other young specialists of the faculty and increased their enthusiasm for science. Also this year, for the first time, activists who promote the image of the faculty at the international level were awarded the status of "Ambassador".
INFRASTRUCTURE MODERNIZATION
This year, the material and technical base of the faculty was radically updated. These works are aimed at creating a favorable environment for students and teachers:
- Technological equipment. Classrooms have been equipped with the latest computers, and the level of digitalization of reading rooms has increased. The musical equipment and some technical equipment necessary for training have been completely modernized.
- Classrooms and centers. To maintain leadership in language teaching, Language park was rebranded and replaced with a modern-design logo.
- External video and design. The faculty has developed its own corporate style. The stands and information boards have been updated aesthetically and functionally. Furniture, tables and equipment in the educational building and hostel have been completely replaced by new types of furniture.
STUDENT LIFE AND SPORTS ACHIEVEMENTS
The social and living conditions of students were also not ignored. The 3rd floor of the hostel was fully furnished, and a modern dining room of a new type was opened for students. This will allow students to spend their free time efficiently and comfortably.
In the field of sports, the staff of the faculty was also active. At the winter sports contest of the University, the team of the faculty took the 6th place in a competitive competition and proved their commitment to a healthy lifestyle. At the same time, the International Olympiad "Al-Farabi 2025" was held at a high organizational level, which raised the prestige of the faculty in the international arena.
An open day dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the Faculty of pre-university education was organized at a high professional level, a meeting with veteran teachers was held within the framework of the event, and the continuity of traditions in the field of education was promoted. The event was attended by the university administration and veteran teachers, the chairman of the Almaty branch of the World Association of Kazakhs and a number of well-known graduates.
At the solemn event within the framework of this anniversary:
- Anniversary Collection dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the Faculty of pre - university education;
- A collection dedicated to the 40-year history of the Department of language and general educational training of foreigners;
- The Department of pre-university training successfully held a presentation of the collective collection for preparing for the UNT in the humanities and Natural Sciences.
In addition, this year, on the eve of the new year, the staff of the faculty, supporting the initiatives of our university, held a special charity event in the orphanage in Almaty to contribute to the growth and prosperity of the younger generation.
Conclusion
At the end of the year, a number of members of the faculty staff were awarded state awards, special medals and letters of thanks for their significant work. The achievements of 2025 are an important milestone that determines the direction of development of the Faculty of pre – university education of Al-Farabi KazNU in a new era. The team, which combines education and science, intends to conquer high heights in the future.
