Under the organization of Alua Arlankyzy Maksutova, lecturer of the Department of Electronics and Astrophysics at the Faculty of Physics and Technology, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, on January 23, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., an event on the topic “Lecture Dedicated to Abay’s Teaching of ‘Толық адам’ (The Complete Person)” was held in classroom 420 for first-year students of the specialty “Radio Engineering, Electronics, and Telecommunications.”
Responsible curator: A.A. Maksutova, Department of Electronics and Astrophysics.
The main goal of the open lesson was to provide students with a deep understanding of Abay Kunanbayuly’s teaching of ‘Толық адам’, to promote moral and spiritual-ethical values, and to encourage personal development.
During the open lesson, relying on Abay Kunanbayuly’s Words of Edification and his poems, the essence of the teaching of ‘Толық адам’ (The Complete Person) was thoroughly analyzed. The lecture separately examined the concepts of “mind,” “heart,” and “will,” highlighting their harmonious unity in the human being as the central idea.
Particular attention was given to Abay’s 7th and 38th Words of Edification, discussing the characteristics of the “complete person,” as well as positive and negative qualities of human personality. The theoretical material was supplemented with real-life examples, aphoristic sayings, and the question-and-answer method.
During the lesson, students actively participated, answered the questions posed, and freely expressed their opinions. As a result of the discussion, it was evident that they reflected on the topic and understood the significance of the concept of ‘Толық адам’ in contemporary society.
As a result, the students:
• mastered the main content of Abay’s teaching of ‘Толық адам’ (The Complete Person);
• understood the importance of spiritual and moral values;
• reflected on self-development and personal growth.
The open lesson dedicated to Abay’s teaching of ‘Толық адам’ fully achieved its objectives. The lesson content contributed to the expansion of students’ spiritual worldview and the formation of moral qualities. The open lesson is assessed as having been conducted at a high methodological level.
