Report on the scientific seminar for zoology master's students
On December 26 at 11:00 AM, a scientific seminar was held with the department head, supervisors, faculty, and six master's degree students in zoology.
During the seminar, master's degree students presented the main areas of their dissertation research and preliminary results. The presentations covered a wide range of topics aligned with SDG 14, "Life Below Water," and SDG 1,5 "Life On Land."

S. Altynbekov presented a paper on the morphology of the Upper Paleozoic discosauriscus Utegenia shpinari.
A.B. Mukhametkali discussed the reintroduction of the Przewalski's horse (Equus ferus przewalskii) in Kazakhstan.
E.D. Orazymbek examined the dynamics of macrozoobenthos species diversity in Lake Alakol.
Z.Z. Rakhmonalieva presented the results of a study examining the impact of invasive Caspian Sea species on native organisms.
Sh.A. Sayranova reported on the morphological diversity of otoliths and the importance of Dolgin herring in the diet of the Caspian seal.
V.K. Khimonen presented the results of an assessment of the habitat suitability and population and ecological characteristics of the long-legged buzzard.
Each presentation generated professional interest and was accompanied by a lively scientific discussion. The master's students received specific recommendations for refining the methodology, data analysis, and further research development.
The seminar was an important step in developing the master's students' research competencies and their contribution to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
