On February 20 of this year, students and curators from the Department of Thermophysics and Technical Physics attended a theatrical production of "Ak Keme" (The White Ship). This event served as a vital component of the educational process aimed at developing a well-rounded personality. For a future engineer, it is essential not only to master the laws of thermodynamics but also to possess a "moral compass." Based on the masterpiece by Chingiz Aitmatov, the play prompts deep reflection on honor, conscience, and accountability—qualities indispensable for a professional in any field. Immersing themselves in the legend of the Horned Mother-Deer allowed these art enthusiasts to step away from formulas and contemplate eternal questions of morality, kindness, and the clash between dreams and harsh reality.
In the context of Global Challenges, this visit aligns with SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 15 (Life on Land). Education through art helps students internalize environmental ethics and the importance of preserving ancestral heritage. Such activities strengthen the bond between generations of faculty and students, fostering the development of a conscious and responsible civil society.
