A Curatorial Hour on “Social Responsibility and Financial Literacy in the Era of Artificial Intelligence” Was Held
On February 25, аt the Department of Middle East and South Asia, the academic advisor of the second-year Iranian studies group conducted a curatorial hour on the topic “Social Responsibility and Financial Literacy in the Era of Artificial Intelligence.” During the session, students were provided with the following information:
Last year, the Head of State, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, signed the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Artificial Intelligence.” The law came into force on January 16. According to this legislation, any content created using artificial intelligence must be published with a special label.
Under the new regulation, any image, video, audio, or text created or processed with the assistance of artificial intelligence must be clearly and explicitly disclosed by the user. In other words, it is no longer permissible to conceal whether online material is produced by a human or an algorithm. Failure to provide proper labeling results in a fine. Non-compliance with the new requirements entails legal liability. Fines for violating AI labeling requirements have been introduced into the Code of Administrative Offenses.
Another important issue in Kazakhstan today is improving financial literacy. The idea of building a debt-free society begins with each citizen’s ability to manage and plan their income. Three key directions — digitalization as a guarantee of efficiency, artificial intelligence as a driver of intellectual progress, and financial literacy as the foundation of economic stability — are essential for sustainable development.
