Advanced Workshop: "Prevention of Internet Fraud: Digital Safety and Cyber Hygiene"
On April 27, 2026, at 11:00 AM, in Computer Cluster No. 2 (2G) of the Graduate School of Economics and Business, a comprehensive seminar-training titled "Prevention of Internet Fraud" was conducted. This event was strategically organized in alignment with the department's approved educational action plan, focusing on equipping the youth with the tools to combat cyber-threats and digital crimes.
The utilization of a modern computer cluster transformed the seminar into an immersive laboratory session. This allowed for a high-intensity learning experience where theory was immediately validated by practice:
- Hands-on Security Audit: At their respective workstations, students performed real-time security diagnostics of their digital footprints, implemented advanced encryption standards, and learned to identify the technical markers of phishing attacks (URL manipulation and metadata analysis).
- Cyber-Threat Simulation: Participants used computer screens to analyze the psychological and technical mechanics of social engineering, including deepfake technology and sophisticated fraudulent financial schemes common in the modern digital economy.
- Development of Cyber-Resilience: The training sessions focused on practical drills for generating unbreakable credentials and securing personal communications against unauthorized access.
This workshop served as a vital platform for promoting the values of justice and institutional stability in the virtual world. Students gained a profound understanding of their rights and responsibilities in the digital age, significantly enhancing their ability to navigate the online environment safely and ethically.
Organizers: Deputy Head of the Department of Turkology and Theory of Language Akbota Serikkazy, Faculty Member Arailym Akzhigitova, and 1st-year Bachelor’s students.
