Online meeting for 1st year graduate students

On September 17, the Department of the Far East of Al-Farabi KazNU held online meeting for 1st year master students of the Korean and Japanese departments. The educational process at the university is carried out using e-learning and distance educational technologies, contact work of students and teachers is organized in the electronic information and educational environment of the university, as in many other universities in Kazakhstan.

In order to provide graduate students with advisory assistance on distance learning, to bring information about the status of the magistracy, as well as to provide targeted assistance to those lagging behind, the head of the department, Yem Natalya Borisovna, and the professors of the department conduct monthly online seminars.

Online meetings with graduate students are devoted to topical issues of organizing scientific and educational processes during a pandemic. During the meetings, issues of training in the electronic information educational environment of the university, intermediate and final attestations, beginning of the new 2020-2021 academic year were discussed. First of all, students were interested in how and in what form the defense of course projects, tests and exams would take place.

Particular attention was paid to the issues of state final certification. Advisors of graduate students B.K. Akin and Belyalova A.E. discussed in detail the preparation of master's theses, conducting pre-defense and defense of pre-diploma practice, preparation and conduction of state final certification. Students received detailed information on all issues of interest to them.

The head of the department, Natalya Borisovna, in her welcoming speech, noted that, despite the difficult epidemiological situation, effective work and educational process have been established. Also, she emphasized that the university leadership is ready to support students, assist in solving all issues and problems that arise in today's difficult conditions.
