Obituary to Mukanov Marat Umirbekovich
Marat Umirbekovich graduated from the medical faculty of the Karaganda State Medical Institute in 1979. In 1988 he defended his Ph.D. thesis on the topic "Surgical treatment of false cysts and omentobursitis of the pancreas" at KazNIIEKH them. Syzganov. In 1997 he defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic "Acute adhesive intestinal obstruction caused by viscero-parietal adhesions" at the dissertation council of the Moscow Medical Institute. Semashko (Moscow). In 2001 he received the title of professor of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
After residency, since 1989 he worked as the head of the surgical department of the City Hospital No. 1 in Zhezkazgan. From 1994 to 2019 he worked at KazNMU named after I. SD Asfendiyarova: was a professor at the Department of Surgical Diseases No. 2, served as the first director of the educational department of surgery, was the head of the department of general surgery. From September 2019 to the present, he held the position of professor of clinical specialties at the Higher School of Medicine of the Faculty of Medicine and Healthcare of Al-Farabi KazNU.
Author of over 150 scientific publications, 30 copyright certificates for inventions and methods of treatment that are effectively used in practical surgery, has published 2 monographs and 3 teaching aids. Under the leadership of M.U. Mukanov 1 doctoral dissertation was defended. Marat Umirbekovich was an expert of the Independent Kazakhstani Agency for Quality Assurance in Education, was involved in the analysis of complaints and deaths through the Ministry of Health, city, regional health care. By the decision of the Board of Directors of the N.N. A.N.Syzganov at the VI Congress of Surgeons of Kazakhstan (2015) was awarded a diploma and a gold medal. In 2019 he was awarded a silver medal of KazNMU named after I. S.D. Asfendiyarov.
Marat Umirbekovich enjoyed a well-deserved prestige among colleagues and patients. He was distinguished by deep humanity, genuine intelligence and high professionalism. Thanks to his experience, knowledge, high moral and ethical principles, he has trained many highly qualified surgeons.
Marat Umirbekovich was a reliable support for his family, a loving husband, an example for his children and grandchildren.
