Master class "Actual problems and teaching methods in the process of geographical education"

As part of the implementation of the project "Smart Generation" of the Akimat of Almaty city on April 14, 2021, the Youth Alliance of the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences held a master class on the topic "Actual problems and teaching methods in the process of geographical education." The event is dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan and aimed at undergraduates and postgraduates of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

During the master class, speakers presented various ways of applying new education methods and information technologies that help to maximize the interest of students in secondary schools and HEI.

The main idea of the master-class is to message the audience about the various modern innovative teaching methods, most used information technologies, which are very relevant and necessary in the post-pandemic era, and how not to lose the interest of the middle school and HEI students'. During the event, the HEI students provided a step-by-step path for conducting a lesson using various e-resources and explained the advantages of using teaching methods in various situations.

Not only general information about modern teaching methods and technologies was provided to the participants, but also real-life examples approved in middle schools and HEI, the features, disadvantages, and capabilities of each of these innovative methods too.

The master class has generated tremendous interest among participated students and faculty staff.
