PRIORITY GIVES TO SCIENTIFIC AND TECHNICAL PROJECTS
Al-Farabi KazNU took part in the VIII meeting of the working commission for coordinating the activities of the scientific and educational consortium between higher educational institutions and research institutes of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Belarus.
The scientific and educational consortium, held within the framework of a bilateral intergovernmental agreement, annually expands the circle of participants, uniting about 50 universities and research institutes.
The innovative activities of Kazakhstan and Belarus are increasingly based on the introduction of new ideas and scientific knowledge, technologies and types of products in various fields of production, which is one of the most important factors in the development of the economies of states.
Projects in the following areas have been identified as priority areas: digital, information and communication, interdisciplinary, biological, medical, pharmaceutical, chemical technologies and industries based on them, robotics, energy and construction, developments used in the agricultural sector and the processing industry.
The VIII meeting of the consortium was attended by the acting Vice-Rector for Operations Kanatbek Nurtazinovich Mukanov. Active partnership and joint work with the universities of Belarus led to the expansion of the partnership. Vice-rector K. Mukanov signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Polotsk State University to stimulate and support initiatives aimed at mutually beneficial cooperation in the humanities, social and natural sciences.
The scientific and educational consortium of higher educational institutions and research institutes of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Belarus was created in 2011. Within the framework of the consortium, the training of scientific and engineering personnel in the field of high technologies and innovation is carried out. Students are trained in academic mobility, scientific internships for undergraduates, doctoral students and teachers are organized, as well as high-tech scientific and technical projects are being implemented.
