"Kazakhstan Khalkyna" Foundation allocated 10 grants to the KazNU of al-Farabi
The Public Foundation "Kazakhstan Khalkyna" within the framework of the charity program allocated 10 educational grants for bachelor's degree programs to the al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
The purpose of the program "Educational grants of Kazakhstan Khalkyna", implemented from 2022-2023 academic year, is to support graduates of rural schools from socially vulnerable segments of the population by increasing the availability of higher education. The program is also aimed at supporting the children of the deceased citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan and injured children during the tragic events of January 2022.
This year the program has been updated, the categories of applicants participating in the program have been expanded. These are children from low-income families in rural areas, small and single-industry towns; orphans or left without parental care until adulthood; with disabilities; from families raising disabled children; children of deceased citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan during the tragic January events of 2022; wounded children during the tragic January events of 2022; children of deceased citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan, injured in emergency situations.
The maximum age of participation in the program is 29 years inclusive. It is not allowed to receive a grant for obtaining a second higher education.
Documents for participation in the competition of educational grants are accepted through the admissions committees of organizations of higher and postgraduate education (OVPO). Applicants submit applications to the admissions committee of the OVPO in the period from August 10 to August 17.
The grant covers the entire period of study in bachelor's degree programs. The limit on the cost of tuition is up to 1 million tenge per student, if the annual cost of a student's education is higher than this amount, then the difference is paid by the student himself. In addition, the grant holders of the foundation are paid a scholarship in the amount of 40,000 tenge for 10 months (annually), except for the period of summer holidays.
