The concept of the "Silver University" at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University

A general analysis of the work carried out during the reporting period by the institute of advanced training and additional Education of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University leads us to the following conclusions.
In accordance with the annual plan, for the 2022-2023 academic year, 797 students improved their qualifications in various types of institute of advanced training and additional Education-based training, as well as
Of these: 216 students from 23 universities of the republic were trained in 24 scientific areas (out of 40) (Appendix 2, Table 1-3); 17 students were trained in a 144-hour program, 5 students were trained in a 108-hour program, 229 students – in a 72-hour program.
294 teachers of schools and colleges from almost all regions of Kazakhstan have passed through advanced training courses in 25 different specializations and directions.
109 leading university teachers, including 60 professors, 40 associate professors and 9 senior university teachers, were involved in the scientific guidance on curricula and seminars for university teachers and school teachers.
At a new stage in the development of higher education, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the Institute of Advanced Training and Additional Education face the following tasks:
Deepening cooperation with all university centers within the framework of organizing and conducting advanced training courses in a variety of areas and specializations.
Further expansion of activities for the organization and conduct of advanced training courses for various categories of students.
Expansion and deepening of activities for the organization and conduct of professional retraining and additional education courses with the involvement of various public organizations and professional associations.
Further development of distance learning.
Further commercialization of institute of advanced training and additional Education work.
Systematic modernization of the process of additional education and professional development and retraining of personnel.
Implementation of innovative educational programs of various levels for all interested consumers.
Effective use of human resources and scientific and technical potential.
modernization of the infrastructure, material and technical base and property complex of the institute.
Strengthening the role of the Institute as a leading educational institution and a scientific, methodological and practical center for advanced training, retraining and additional education in the country.
