Minister of Science and Higher Education familiarized with the work of the Press Service of KazNU

Minister of Science and Higher Education Sayasat Nurbek familiarized himself with the activities of the Department of Information and Communications of the Al- Farabi Kazakh National University.

   Director of the Department of Information and Communication Kanshayyim Baydaulet told about the work of the Press Service Department, "Farabi University" website, "Farabi Media" TV studio, "Qazaq universiteti" newspaper and the Information and Monitoring Sector, which are part of the Department.

   It was noted that on the instructions of Rector Zhanseit Tuimebaev the press service of the university was reorganized and equipped with new equipment. A new TV studio was created, filming, sound recording and editing rooms were equipped and put into operation.

   The corridor and all offices have been overhauled, doors and windows and heating systems have been replaced. The walls were re-plastered and finished with modern material. Floor coverings (laminate) and lighting fixtures were installed. Electricity sources, internet network have been renewed. Journalists were provided with appropriate technical equipment, furniture was renewed.

    Minister Sayasat Nurbek for the first time familiarized with the activities of the management of the newspaper "Qazaq universiteti". In January 2022, the newspaper received the status of republican and entered the catalog of "Kazpochta". To subscribe to the newspaper, a payment system through QR-application of Halyk Bank was launched. At present, the number of subscribers has increased and the edition has been distributed in different regions of the country. The design of the newspaper was radically changed and new columns were opened: "Leadership Lecture", "Perfection", "Innovations", "Integration of Knowledge", "My University", "Mirror of Students".

   Then the minister visited the Farabi Media TV studio. The studio is engaged in the creation of television programs and documentaries. At the moment for distribution through the YouTube channel "Farabi Media" are filmed and presented to the attention of viewers TV programs "Brainstorming", "Innovative projects", "Main events of KazNU", "Lectures of scientists of KazNU", "Student", "Podcast" and others.

  Minister of Science and Higher Education Sayasat Nurbek was also reported on the work done by the Information and Monitoring Sector. The subdivision daily distributes press releases about important events that take place at the university, monitors and examines the published information. Also in the management of the site "Farabi University" presented a new site of KazNU, made in a modern style. The design of official pages in social networks has been updated, efforts are made to increase the number of subscribers.

This year, on the eve of Journalists' Day, 3 employees were awarded the badge "Akparat Salasynyң үzdіgі".
