SCIENTIFIC LECTURE BY FOREIGN GUEST PROFESSOR QAMAR ABBAS
The department of physical chemistry, catalysis and petrochemistry of faculty of chemistry and chemical technology invites everyone to the lectures of professor Qamar Abbas. Professor Qamar Abbas is a well-known scientist in the field of hybrid supercapacitors, battery electrodes, nanoporous carbon, graphene and 2D materials for environmentally friendly energy storage. He is the author of more than 60 scientific papers published in journals with a high impact factor, such as "Nature Communications", "Carbon", "ACS Applied Energy Materials", "Materials Science and Engineering: R: Reports". He is the author of 11 patents, monographs "Catalytic Kinetics" (Elsevier, 2015) and "Catalytic Kinetics: Chemistry and Engineering" (Elsevier, 2016). Professor Abbas has presented his research at more than 47 international conferences as a plenary, keynote speaker or invited speaker. He is currently managing two Austrian projects.
The class schedule is attached. One of the topics of lectures by Professor Qamar Abbas is “AFFORDABLE AND ENVIRONMENTALLY CLEAN ENERGY”. This lecture is in order to solve the targets of SDG (Sustainable Development Goals) 7 “7.4.1. Providing outreach programs to the local community regarding the importance of energy management and clean energy.” Universities promote and support clean energy, both through research and outreach and through their own behavior and use.
