Students of KazNU became the owners of vacant educational grants

Students of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University were included in the list of holders of vacant educational grants. These grants remained after the competitive distribution on the results of the summer admission campaign. The awarding of vacant grants among the best students was held by the Republican Competition Commission.

As noted by the Minister of Science and Higher Education Sayasat Nurbek, grants were awarded to more than 4,000 applicants. The grants remaining after the summer competitive selection were given to the best graduates of pedagogical and engineering sciences and in the specialties "Information and Communication Technologies", "Natural Sciences, Mathematics and Statistics". "This is a great opportunity for young people who hope to get higher education. The field of higher education has made great progress in a short time. It is a great joy for all of us that as a result the hopes of our youth who intend to get knowledge are justified," S. Nurbek said.

       As a result of the competition, students of 13 faculties of KazNU won vacant educational grants. In particular, 56 grants were awarded to students of the following faculties: journalism, biology and biotechnology, information technology, physics and engineering, mechanics and mathematics, chemistry and chemical technology, geography and nature management, philological faculty, international relations, philosophy and political science, higher school of economics and business, law and oriental studies.

"I am just thrilled with this news. This is a surprise and a great joy for me. Now I have to study and learn even more. It is a great responsibility and I have to prove to myself that I am worthy of this grant. I wish all students and teachers success and great achievements in their studies and work," said Aruzhan Minasheva, 3rd year student of the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science of KazNU.
