Conservation of terrestrial ecosystems
On 16.10.23, within the framework of SDG 15, conservation of terrestrial ecosystems - students of group 204 and curator adviser Ernur Ondash and Abdykadyr Ulan visited the botanical garden together!
Objective: protection and restoration of the terrestrial ecosystem and its moderate consumption, sustainable forest management, combating desertification, continued degradation and land eradication. In the Main Botanical Garden there are about 5.5 thousand species and varieties of plants (of which about 100 species are listed in the “Red Book” of Kazakhstan), imported from local and other places. They are grouped in terms of Botanical and geographical, systematic, landscape, as well as on the basis of their useful properties. The collection of the most valuable, rare and endangered plants in the garden is considered a national treasure of the country.
