Students of the 3rd and 4th courses of the educational programs "6B12301 – Law enforcement", "6B04205 - Jurisprudence" go to classes.
Field classes are held at the specialized training center "Dolan", located outside the city of Kaskelen, in the Almaty region, with the creation of special conditions close to real situations that future law enforcement officers may face in their professional activities, under the guidance and participation of special instructors.
Classes begin with familiarizing students with the rules of safety and handling of weapons. Students are tasked with studying the movement of a bullet (buckshot, shot) in the bore of a weapon and in the air, as well as the properties of weapons, ammunition, the mechanism of the shot resulting from its traces, determining the distance from which the shot was fired, etc.
The purpose of the field practical classes is to consolidate, expand and deepen the theoretical knowledge gained in "Ballistics" and "Forensic Ballistics", identify and clarify their own interests in research, forensic and analytical activities in the law enforcement field, acquire initial practical skills in the field of forensic expertise, familiarization with the practical activities of forensic departments, acquisition of skills in the production of forensic examinations, development of students' interest in the chosen specialty.
As a result of participation in field practical classes, students develop skills of independent work, fear of their own ignorance is overcome, a positive incentive to study disciplines is created, the level of legal awareness and personal responsibility is growing.
Students have positive emotions from experiencing their own success, hard work, finding the right and accurate solutions to the tasks assigned to them.
Field visits contribute to the implementation of one of the Sustainable Development Goals of SDG 4 «Quality Education».
