Rector held a number of meetings with the heads of Chinese universities

Chairman of the Board - Rector of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev during a working visit to the People's Republic of China met with the President of Beijing Language and Culture University Duan Peng and signed an agreement on mutual understanding. During the visit, the opening ceremony of the joint Kazakh Research Center was held.

During the meeting the rector of the university told the Chinese colleagues about the achievements and further plans of KazNU, noting that cooperation between the leading university of Kazakhstan and Chinese universities is developing dynamically.

In turn, the president of Beijing University of Language and Culture Duan Peng expressed confidence that in the future strategic Kazakh-Chinese relations will be strengthened, mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of education and science will reach a new level.

Later, the head of KazNU Zhanseit Tuimebayev held talks with the President of Beijing Foreign Languages University Yang Dan and signed a memorandum on the development of academic mobility. In the future Al-Farabi KazNU and Beijing Foreign Languages University will intensify the work on the exchange of teachers and students in the framework of academic mobility.

During the talks Zhanseit Tuimebaev thanked Mr. Yang Dan for his assistance and noted that the signed memorandum will strengthen comprehensive cooperation between the two universities. During the meeting, the president of Beijing Foreign Studies University emphasized that he would make every effort to strengthen ties with KazNU.

The Rector also met with Wu Xiaolin, President of Beijing Petroleum University, and signed a cooperation agreement. The purpose of the agreement is to establish a "One Belt, One Road" association for joint industry development in the energy sector, training of scientific personnel and research in the energy sector. This agreement was reached during the official visit of the Head of State Kasym-Jomart Tokayev to China.

At the meeting, the heads of the two universities agreed to work together under the memorandum and implement all initiatives aimed at strengthening the partnership.
