Relevance of the seminar:

Currently, there are different directions in the field of physical culture and sports in which graduates of the specialty "Physical Culture and sports" can work, these are the directions of adaptive physical culture and physical therapy. After graduating from university, not every graduate goes to work as a physical education teacher at school, a coach in a chosen sport or a teacher at a university, so it is very important to know these directions in order to find their field of work, perhaps this is your future life's work.

 

The purpose of the seminar: To familiarize students of 3-4 courses with the directions of adaptive physical culture and physical therapy.

 

Objectives of the seminar: 

 

- To interest students of 3-4 courses with their performance in studying different areas of physical culture and sports

- To reveal the topic of adaptive areas of physical culture, such as adaptive sports in selected sports, as well as new areas gaining momentum as the Paralympic sport "Boccia".

- Tell about the methods of adaptive swimming and hydro-rehabilitation for children with disabilities.

- To familiarize students with the therapeutic areas of physical culture and sports, such as physical therapy for children with musculoskeletal disorders using the methods of "Bobath therapy", "PNF", "Vojta therapy" and tell them how to come to this area.

- To tell about the methods of adaptive physical culture with children with mental disorders such as autism, also IMF, SDD.

 

The content and tasks of the main types of adaptive physical culture and t physical therapyreveal the potential of the possibilities of means and methods of adaptive physical culture, each of which, having a specific orientation, contributes in one way or another not only to the maximum possible increase in the viability of children with disabilities, but also to the comprehensive development of personality, independence, social, household, mental activity and independence, improvement in professional activity and generally achieving significant results in life.

The seminar covered the topics of adaptive sports in selected sports, new Paralympic sports gaining good momentum, such as "Boccia", types of hydro-rehabilitation in the pool, as well as physical therapy techniques: "PNF", "Bobath therapy", "Voija therapy". The topic of adaptive physical culture with children with autism spectrum disorders was very interesting for students. At the end, time was allotted for feedback, there were questions from students to the speaker on the topic of the seminar and answers were received.
